We got that outstanding news (about one of my company‘s projects)! And then this wonderful review (below) from someone with decades of experience in appreciating what makes a good story.
I read What Now, Lieutenant? early one afternoon and became so engrossed I turned the last page only a few hours later. Knowing of the author’s remarkable and heroic career, I’ll admit opening the book with some trepidation, because I’ve learned from experience that, unfortunately, a writer’s grand intentions do not always translate to good writing. I’m happy to report that this compelling book is the wonderful exception. A page-turner for sure, it is candid and inspiring. The author’s generosity, kindness, humility… his love imbues every page. Well done, Marine.
